UK-based Kite Packaging has extended its range of desiccants to ensure businesses have the better moisture damage protection in place.

The expanded range of desiccants addresses several needs for businesses that distribute varied products all over the year.

Most of the businesses send out products in large quantities prior to Christmas and keeping the protection element precise plays crucial role in packaging and distribution of products.

To offer better range of moisture absorption protection, Kite’s product experts have launched two new types of desiccants apart from the company’s silica gel.

Kite’s new clay desiccant, which is an economical and non-corrosive sachet,preserves the quality and properties of products from moisture attacks.

It also provides an inexpensive, eco-friendly alternative to silica gel for moisture absorption.

The company claims that the clay desiccant is perfect for a variety of sectors including pharmaceuticals, medical, food, shipping, and electronics. It is capable of considerable adsorption even at low moisture levels.

The second product, the molecular sieve desiccant, is a specifically effective against water vapor. It works more quickly and reduces the water vapor to the lowest levels even at extreme temperatures.

The desiccant sachet is designed with small pores that remove existent moisture and avoids water-damage and corrosion to the items packed.

Kite Packaging has six sites across the UK that are fully integrated into its national and international supply chain.

The company recently introduced new low profile range of machines to allow for a swifter pallet wrapping operation.Kite Packaging has also expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of new eco-friendly paper bubble wrap, a 100% recyclable alternative for traditional polyethylene bubble wrap.

The company said the new environmentally-friendly product will ensure that reliable cushioning throughout transit and its recyclable qualities offer an end-of-life, eco-friendly solution to counteract plastic waste.
