Food packaging products and solutions provider Sabert has acquired UK-based sustainable foodservice packaging firm KeCo for an undisclosed sum.
Founded in 2015, KeCo is engaged in manufacturing and supplying a range of folded carton packaging products to various sectors in the foodservice market.
The various sectors range from high street food outlets, leisure and retail eateries to contract catering and travel, said the company.
KeCo’s product portfolio consists of sandwich and deli packaging, fast food and food-to-go products, children’s meal boxes, catering platters and inserts, cartons, trays, and containers.
Sabert Europe CEO Philippe Leemans said: “The acquisition of KeCo is a unique opportunity for Sabert Europe to further enhance our portfolio of sustainable foodservice packaging solutions.

KeCo operates a manufacturing facility in the green belt area of Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire.
The food packaging firm stated that the complete KeCo team remains in place and joins the company’s team to continue the work and serve its customers.
In a statement, Keco directors Jamie Kearns, John Young and Alan Pealling said: “By joining the Sabert group, we will have access to larger resources and an extended global market presence.
“This will accelerate our future growth as we capitalise on the combined distribution network and the European footprint of Sabert, which we are all very excited about.”
Sabert is involved in the designing, manufacturing and distribution of various packaging solutions for food distributors, restaurants and caterers, grocery stores, national food chains and consumer entertaining.
In July last year, Sabert launched a new Kraft Collection that consists of various corrugated and paperboard food packaging solutions made with different materials.
