Polybottle and Humberline are engaged in the manufacturing of plastic bottles for the food, beverage, automotive, and industrial and specialty chemical industries.

The entities operate manufacturing facilities in Toronto, Vancouver and Edmonton.

Established in 1957, Polybottle is involved in the manufacturing of plastic containers and industrial parts. The ABC Group acquired Polybottle in 1977.

CCC president and CEO Sean Fallmann said: “We welcome the employees of Polybottle and Humberline into the CCC family. These companies have great leadership teams and a strong reputation of consistently providing quality products and excellent customer service.

“This acquisition is another step in CCC’s North American growth strategy, in which we combine strategic asset acquisitions with new innovative products to better meet our customers’.”

CCC also acquired Montreal-based DeltaPac in the second quarter of this year. The acquired businesses will serve as foundation for CCC to launch its Dura-Lite family of packaging for food, beverage, and industrial markets.

Dura-Lite is said to use 10% to 25% less plastic than comparable traditional designs, while meeting the crucial performance attributes of traditional designs.

The company is offering Dura-Lite containers in gallon, half-gallon, quart, and industrial round gallon sizes.

Compatible with multiple neck finishes, the Dura-Lite industrial gallon bottles are designed to work better with existing automotive, household cleaner, cooking oil, and beverage fill lines and downstream supply chains.

CCC’s EcoPrime is a recycled resin for food contact, and it helps brands to meet their sustainability efforts.

Fallman further added: “With this strong foundation in place, we are very excited at the opportunity to expand our operations in Canada and introduce our innovative Dura-Lite family of bottles to new customers.”

CCC, a non-publicly traded subsidiary of Loews, develops and manufactures rigid plastic packaging solutions in North America.

The company is specialized in providing customized mid and short-run packaging solutions for the customers in the household chemicals, food/nutraceuticals, industrial/specialty chemicals, water, and beverage/juice segments.
