Cooking oil management solutions provider Frontline International has entered into a strategic partnership with Ring Container Technologies to supply fresh oil containers.

Frontline’s sister company OilCare will use the fresh oil containers to create a closed-loop, sustainable supply chain within the oil delivery segment.

As per the contract, fresh oil and used oil handling equipment are placed on-site and remain for a low monthly cost. The fresh oil delivery is scheduled based on current volumes using proprietary OilCare software.

The oil management solutions provider said that the used Ultra35 HDPE jugs are retrieved from the store and delivered back to local distribution. These centres treat jugs for reclamation and subsequently repurposed them downstream into recyclable products.

The deal brings two businesses to increase creativity and collaboration that will benefit the final consumers of both companies’ goods and services.

Frontline International president and CEO John Palazzo said: “Ring Container is an excellent partner with aligned goals in making foodservice kitchens more sustainable while maintaining, and even improving, efficiency and quality.

“We look forward to the future innovations that will spring forth from this partnership.”

OilCare offers a completely personalised delivery and collection service for cooking oil. Its customers use Frontline’s EZ Oil Fresh Oil Dispensing System to fill their fryer vats.

Frontline said that the EZ Oil unit is filled using high-quality, fresh cooking oil packaged in Ultra35 packaging of Ring Container.

The 35-pound container for cooking oil, claimed as the industry’s lightest container, uses patented Ultra35 technology. It was developed to use less material and increase recycling while improving overall ergonomics and pallet efficiency.

How2Recycle has pre-certified that the Ultra35 packaging, including the outside box and inner jug, is 100% recyclable.

Ring Container president and CEO Brian Smith said: “Our two companies work well together, and we’ve already leveraged those synergies to create greater value for our mutual customers.

“The future holds great promise for new discoveries to further revolutionize foodservice cooking oil management, particularly as it relates to recyclability and achieving sustainability goals.”
