PET kegs provider OneCircle has collaborated with Canada West Winery Supplies on the marketing of OneCircle’s KeyKeg and UniKeg products.
Under the deal, Canada West Winery will market OneCircle’s sustainable KeyKeg and UniKeg to wineries, breweries, and cideries in addition to wine packaging and accessories.
Based in Okanagan Valley, Canada West Winery Supplies has been distributing sustainable packaging solutions to customers in the beverage industry since 2013.
Canada West Winery manages a warehouse in Penticton to supply the products for the customers in Western and Eastern Canada.
OneCircle stated that Canadian winemakers and beverage producers are focusing on using environmentally sustainable packaging solutions, which can simultaneously protect the quality of their products.
Canada West Winery Supplies owners Garth Schafer and Mark Hartmann said: “We found our interactions felt personalised, with OneCircle, even though the OneCircle family is a large-scale global business. It is part of our own long-term strategy to reduce, reuse and recycle across all aspects of the business, so this step made sense.”
KeyKeg and UniKeg products have been designed for the prevention of sunlight and air from degrading the product.
Both sustainable kegs will allow wine producers to serve wine by the glass without the risk of oxidation and waste of produce.
Each 30-litre keg consists of up to forty 0.75 litre bottles of wine, thereby enabling to save space and prevent excessive glass waste.
Produced using circular use material, the lightweight KeyKeg and UniKeg products enable to minimise CO2 emissions during production and shipping.

In July this year, OneCircle announced a partnership with French collection partner ELISE Alsace to boost the circular economy.
