Aptar Food + Beverage, a business unit of AptarGroup, has partnered with Chacauhaa Brazil to provide an inverted packaging solution with SimpliSqueeze flow control valve for Mel de Cacau honey.

Aptar worked closely with Chacauhaa Brazil and its owner Clarissa Bajon to improve the user experience by repackaging its honey product, Mel de Cacau honey.

The honey, made from harvested cocoa in Northeast Brazil, will now come in an inverted closure with Aptar’s Lock-Back Partial Lid solution with SimpliSqueeze flow control valve.

Aptar replaced the glass with the metal lug cap packaging of the Mel de Cacau honey to enhance the consumer experience and make it more practical.

Bajon said: “We chose Aptar to be our partner in this project for its expertise in product innovation and its global sustainability commitments which align with our brand’s values and aspirations.”

Aptar Food + Beverage marketing development coordinator in Latin America, Nycollas Cardoso said: “Our company enjoys a great reputation for working with brands of all sizes.

“Every brand we team up with is an opportunity to revolutionize our markets with packaging innovation that not only helps our customers achieve their targets but also aims to improve consumers’ lives with packaging solutions that provide safety and convenience.”

In January this year, Aptar Food + Beverage introduced a new recyclable snap top closure called PolkaLite for the sauces and condiments market which uses 1.3g less plastic than the original Polka solution.
