Planned to be built on Logistics Avenue in the River Ridge Commerce Center in Jeffersonville, the new 469,000ft² manufacturing and bottling facility

Construction of the facility, which is expected to create up to 49 jobs, is currently underway. It is scheduled to be commissioned in spring 2019.

Additionally, Niagara Bottling is planning to expand its existing facility at 1250 Whitaker Rd. in Plainfield, with an investment of $6.1m and boost production capacity.

Niagara Bottling has received up to $450,000 in conditional tax credits and $50,000 in training grants in Jeffersonville and up to $50,000 in conditional tax credits in Plainfield from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC).

IEDC president Elaine Bedel said: “Global companies like Niagara Bottling are choosing to grow here because of Indiana’s commitment to a business-friendly environment that helps yield a positive return on their investment.

“We’re excited for Niagara Bottling’s continued success in the Hoosier state as it expands Plainfield operations and opens a second facility in Jeffersonville, creating more good jobs for our citizens.”

Niagara Bottling supplies bottled water to retailers and wholesale customers across the US. Its line of bottled water products includes purified, pH-balanced, sparkling and vitamin-infused water as well as sports drinks.

Jeffersonville Mayor Mike Moore said: “Niagara Bottling will be a great addition to our city’s changing and growing diversity, lending its prestige to our own as we continue to market the city and River Ridge Commerce Center’s many attributes to prospective businesses.”

Niagara Bottling executive vice-president Brian Hess said: “We have been impressed by the region’s progressive workforce development programs and support system, which will benefit our attempts to add area residents to our Niagara team in southern Indiana.”

Earlier this year, Niagara Bottling has installed Sidel complete PET line at its facility in Salt Lake City, US, in an effort to increase productivity.

Sidel’s complete PET line includes two Super Combis, which are installed with EasyFEED compact ground-level preform and Gebo Cermex conveying and end-of-line equipment.
