The AkyPak product line of returnable containers feature three sub-brands: AkyPak Classic, AkyPak Advanced and AkyPak 4You.

The new feature, dubbed Advanced C, is a single flat-deck bulk container.  It is a one-piece thermoformed pallet with a flat-deck.

AkyPak Advanced C flat-deck surface, which is different from standard formats, needs no further layer pads in the bottom of the container to avoid residues and impurities from being collected.

The lightweight AkyPak Advanced C high density polyethylene and polypropylene reusable containers are known for their durability.

The AkyPak returnable containers can be recycled after the end of their useful life.

DS Smith Plastics, Extruded Products product manager of containers Olivier Saada said: “Most containers designed to transport contaminant-sensitive products, have a pallet which is made of two parts welded together or with cavities where dirt can easily accumulate and contaminate the goods transported.

“AkyPak Advance C’s pallet and container base is a single thermoformed polypropylene plastic pallet with a flat deck that serves as the container base. Our customers in sectors where hygiene is absolutely essential now have a high-performance and economical solution that perfectly meets their needs.”

The returnable AkyPak Advanced transit container is made of polypropylene plastic. Its smooth-surface plastic sleeve cover can be custom-printed for company logos and other labels to be visibly printed on the container.

DS Smith said the sleeve can feature internal divers which are foldable in the same pack.

The container features a thermoformed lid and pallet, which provide extra safety to transported products and returned components.

Last month, DS Smith Plastics, Extruded Products France has introduced AkyPure, a new line of extruded polypropylene packaging for the pharmaceutical industry.

DS Smith Plastics Division has developed a specific range of refoldable plastic containers for all markets for logistics optimization.

The company noted that AkyPak is the ideal solution to meet the challenges of individualized and efficient logistics.
