The American-made 500ml Celebration beer bottle, which can be used either with a crown/pry-off or cork closure, has been developed by using recyclable amber glass.

According to the company, the new 500ml format offers a single serving size to beer consumers at a lower price point.

The new celebration beer bottle is said to support the sustainability strategy of the brewers as it can be recycled without loss in quality or purity.

The new 500ml bottle is part of BOB platform, which is comprised of 12 beer bottles that are manufactured in the US.

Ardagh Group’s North American glass division chief commercial officer Alex Robertson said: “Breweries are packaging limited-edition, single serving craft beer styles in 500ml bottles because they deliver great shelf appeal and brand differentiation in a premium, sustainable package.

“Glass bottles not only express to consumers that they are purchasing a premium product, its inherent sustainability – from its raw materials to its recyclability – is yet another reason why glass bottles are the preferred choice for craft brewers wanting to build their brand and stay true to their sustainability promise.”

Ardagh Group, Glass – North America, which is a division of Ardagh Group, manufactures glass containers for the food and beverage industries in the US.

The company produces recyclable glass packaging in all shapes and sizes for major brands and it offers 16 color options to the customers in North America.

Earlier this year, Ardagh Group, Glass – North America  launched two  American-made 375ml Belgian beer bottles.

The 375ml Belgian Crown and Belgian Cork bottles complement Ardagh’s existing 750ml Belgian Crown and Belgian Cork bottles.

The bottles, which are mad by using amber and flint glass, can be fully recycled.

Recently, Ardagh Group has finalized a multi-million dollar investment in a new development machine.

The new development machine has been installed at the firm’s glass manufacturing facility located in Port Allegany, Pennsylvania, US.
