UK-based Kite Packaging has expanded its product portfolio with the introduction of new nestable and stackable bale arm crates for supermarkets.

Designed for efficient transportation and storage, the bale arm crates can also be used in other potential applications due to their strong, practical and stackable capabilities.

Kite is offering two types of bale arm crates, a standard size and a deeper version, with a capacity of 20kg and 21kg, respectively.

The new crates hold the potential to store and transport a considerable volume of produce with the load being safely spread across the wide surface area to protect both the contents and the user.

The bale arm can be expanded to help the user to hold and carry the box comfortably, a quality assisted by the wide tray-like structure to evenly distribute the content’s weight.

Kite has constructed the box using lightweight and durable regran polymer to maintain minimised strain when lifting, as well as withstand heavy weights and water damage.

The bale arm of the crate has to be retracted to make it nestable when empty. It has to be extended to stack the containers when full.

The ridged design allows to stack smooth, while the boxes can be used to store a range of produce.

Kite stated that the crates are useful in warehouse environments where it is required to conserve space and need necessary tools to safely move products across a pick and pack operation.

In August last year, Kite Packaging introduced a new paper bubble dispenser box suitable for pick, pack and despatch areas.
