Vonco Products, a contract manufacturer of medical devices and fluid bags, has acquired US-based Flex-Pak Packaging Products for an undisclosed sum.
Based in Batavia of Illinois, Flex-Pak offers flexible barrier packaging and sterile barrier DuPont Tyvek pouches for consumer and healthcare organisations.
It provides medical packaging, consumer and retail packaging, industrial packaging, custom packaging solutions, as well as standard spout pouches.
The company’s product portfolio consists of custom-made pouches, back seam bags, flexographic printing, and plain and printed rollstock solutions.
Vonco CEO Keith Smith said: “Vonco is on a mission to create more value for healthcare devices and consumer products while reducing risk for our customers.
“This acquisition puts Vonco in a very unique space of providing risk-free turnkey contract manufacturing of devices, packaging, and sterilization management, streamlining the supply chain for our customers.”
Flex-Pak’s specialty and flexible barrier packaging and medical grade sterile barrier DuPont Tyvek solutions are said to create value and minimise risk for healthcare and consumer customers.
The company also offers various materials, including Dupont Tyvek, foil laminates, polyester laminates, metalised polyester laminates, polypropylene, nylon laminates, paper polyethylene foil laminates and peelable materials.
Vonco stated that its recent acquisition of McFarlane Medical’s assembly solutions, along with Flex-Pak’s expertise, will enable it to enhance capabilities and expand offerings to the customers.
