Infection control material developer UMF|PerfectCLEAN has unveiled its new, fully compostable packaging for its PerfectCLEAN branded line of products.

The new packaging aligns with the infection prevention company’s commitment to providing better environmental hygiene with less work and less waste.

The corn-based sustainable packaging is said to have a smaller carbon footprint and lower costs than conventional cleaning products and techniques.

By early 2024, the entire line of PerfectCLEAN products will use compostable packaging, which is currently being used with some PerfectCLEAN products.

UMF|PerfectCLEAN CEO George Clarke said: “UMF|PerfectCLEAN was founded on a commitment to help our clients attain the highest standards of infection prevention across all markets as sustainably and cost-effectively as possible.

“We are committed to protecting the environment and future generations from needless waste. This innovative, compostable packaging is in complete alignment with those goals.

“More and more, our clients – be they in healthcare, hospitality, education, food services, or other industries – are elevating their own sustainability standards. Our new compostable packaging further supports them in decreasing their own environmental footprints.”

According to the infection prevention firm, the compostable packaging is intended for the company’s PerfectCLEAN products, including Klorese, which is claimed as a safe, “effectively human” Environmental Protection Agency-registered wide-spectrum disinfectant.

The product also complements training and recognition programmes that UMF|PerfectCLEAN serves to ensure safe environments.

Clarke added: “Since our inception, UMF|PerfectCLEAN has relentlessly pursued the development of superior, smarter, simpler, more effective, and affordable sustainable solutions for cleaning and infection prevention.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to reinvent clean with disruptive technology and the essential training required to make the world a cleaner, safer place – one room at a time.”

UMF|PerfectCLEAN is engaged in the research and development of products, programmes, and training for the commercial cleaning and infection prevention market.
