These units have been designed specifically for users who have product in the 150-200 pounds per cubic foot range. This new product line includes two (2) distinct heavy-duty bins – the HBD-TR and the HBD-FB.

The HBD-TR Bin comes with a detachable lid, and optional drainage plug; the HBD-FB Bin provides the same features with the additional benefits of nestability for savings on the backhaul of empty containers, and a detachable pallet.

Remcon president and CEO Peter Connors said: “Over the past 36 years, Remcon has had tremendous success in producing a variety of industrial material handling containers to meet very unusual design challenges.

“ I am thrilled we have created and manufactured our new heavy duty bins.  Our unique design optimization process enables us to unlock significant savings for our customers, particularly in areas they may have completely overlooked.”

Connors noted, “We found many people using triple walled corrugated boxes to handle their high bulk density product. These corrugated containers cost in excess of $80 each.  Because of this very high cost, our reusable containers can pay for themselves with as few as 4-5 uses.

“Since they are manufactured to last much longer it is clear that they offer tremendous savings to our customers.  The long life of these containers has a significant impact on sustainability because they severely reduce the amount of corrugated material going to landfills.”

The Remcon Heavy Duty Bins have application for products such as metal and ceramic powders and metal recycling. The bins can hold nominal weight of 6,000 pounds. These newly designed bins compliment the full line of material handling products offered by Remcon, most of which are FDA/USDA compliant for storage, in-process handling, and shipping.

Remcon marketing director Georgeann Vaclavik said: “We will be showcasing our new heavy-duty, high bulk density material handling bins during the Pack Expo International Trade Show in Chicago the week of October 15, 2018.

“The Pack Expo is the largest international packaging trade show, affording us the opportunity to showcase these heavy duty bins to companies looking for innovative, environmentally friendly material handling solutions.”
