The new No.2 QuadFlex pouch serves as a better sustainable consumer packaging option for companies desiring recyclability without sacrificing quality graphics.

ProAmpac’s new pouch is a quad-seal and flat-bottom structure, which provides five panels of branding billboard space in a design with four corner seals, offering enhanced shelf appeal.

In 2011, ProAmpac launched the first No. 2 stand-up pouch, which secured How2Recycle approval.

ProAmpac senior product market manager Julie Conklin said: “We listened to our customers. Brand owners across multiple markets challenged ProAmpac, making it clear that a recyclable quad-seal style pouch was needed across all our markets.

“From pet food to lawn and garden, cereal and salty snacks, we believe this new pouch will be a game changer in sustainable packaging options for our customers.”

ProAmpac is providing the new pouch in small and large sizes for multiple market applications. Based on the customer requirements, the pouch is also provided with optional oxygen barrier properties.

According to the company, the newly designed pouch will be launched by a major organic lawn and garden brand in the coming months.

ProAmpac chief commercial officer Adam Grose said: “Today’s announcement is a step toward our vision for a large-scale sustainability platform for flexible packaging.”
