US-based multinational technology firm Packsize has introduced a new X7 automated custom box-making system, which will help reduce labor, shipping and material costs.

The X7, which is a fully automated and right-sized packaging system, is the second in the firm’s X Series line of automated on demand packaging technology solutions.
Packsize’s new X7 system enables to advance packaging automation for complex, single and multiple-item orders, as well as helps to achieve sustainability and supply chain workflow optimization.
The system has been designed to manufacture 1,200 to 2,400 ready-to-ship boxes an hour for products of varying types and sizes.
With a capacity to make, pack, and ship a right-sized box in three seconds, the X7 system also delivers on the firm’s strict standards for z-Fold corrugated quality and throughput.
Packsize’s X7 system integrates advanced manufacturing and development practices, including top-down glue application, reduced corrugated cutting positions, decreased dust and trim and wide conveyance system.
The firm is providing the X7 system in multiple configurations to manufacture ready-to-ship boxes completely automatically in varying packaging types and sizes.
The company’s PackNet software platform offers distribution and manufacturing businesses with a flexible, scalable architecture and an advanced interface.
PackNet support operators to manage their corrugated yield, complex workflows, warehouse management, and ordering systems, business intelligence, in addition to integrating other software and hardware.
The new automated custom box-making system is said to represent a significant investment by the company Packsize in machine learning, packaging process automation, corrugated infrastructure and testing, and business intelligence.
