The packaging manufacturer will use the investment to develop a 4000m² warehouse and administration building for an advanced laboratory in the Klaipeda Free Economic Zone (FEZ).

Recently, Retal (Baltic) signed the contract with Klaipeda FEZ to expand its existing premises, in a move to meet the growing product demand from its customers across Europe and outside.

The company also manufactures HDPE bottle closures or caps and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles.

Part of Retal Industries, Retal Baltic manufactured and marketed 12,000 tons of APET film and 2.5 billion caps to the customers in the EU and Africa in the last year.

Retal produces products such as preforms, polymer closures, containers and films. The firm produces plastic closures by using injection molding or compression molding.

The firms PET containers can be used in various applications, including cosmetics, medical products and granular and spreadable goods.

In Lithuania, Retal companies employ around 600 people, of which 400 people working in Klaipeda at Retal Baltic and the NEO Group and more than 200 people in Lentvaris and Vilnius.

Based in Limassol of Cyprus, Retal employs around 2,800 people at 23 production sites in 12 countries.

Retal Industries owner Anatoly Martynov said: “For over 10 years, we have continuously invested funds, know-how and experience in developing our dynamic enterprises in Lithuania. Lithuania is a strategically important region for RETAL in Europe.”
