Multivac Group, a provider of integrated packaging solutions, has wrapped the acquisition of complete holdings in Germany-based TVI Entwicklung und Produktion.

With the completion of the planned departure of Thomas Völkl as managing director and company partner of TVI, Multivac Sepp Haggenmüller, a business unit of Multivac, is acquiring the entire holdings of TVI  in Bruckmühl.

Based in Bruckmühl, TVI is engaged in the manufacturing of meat portioning machines and complete portioning lines. Since January 2017, TVI has been operating under Multivac Group.

Multivac joint group president Guido Spix said: “The name Thomas Völkl is closely associated with the success story of TVI, and it stands not only for the company’s high degree of innovation, but also for a very high level of customer focus.

“We would like to offer our sincerest thanks to Thomas Völkl for his outstanding service. As Managing Director and Company Partner, he gave advice and support to the integration of TVI into the Group, and he made a major contribution to the further development of the company as a significant part of the Multivac Group.”

TVI offers advanced and needs-based solutions for tempering, freezing, pressing, portioning and automating, as well as for winding grill sticks and producing kebab skewers.

The company’s systems range from tempering of the initial product to virtually every type of portioning.

In November 2020, Multivac divested its majority stake in Finnish packaging company Trimaster, which has expertise in different packaging processes within the food and health care industry.

Based in Tampere, Trimaster engaged in order-picking equipment, palletising and end-of-line packaging solutions, as well as conveyor systems for product transport.
