TriMas said that its Intertech business, part of the TriMas Life Sciences division, has boosted the cleanroom capacity at its facility in Denver, Colorado, US.

The additional production space is intended to meet the growing demand from customers for highly engineered parts for use in vascular delivery and extraction, testing, and other medical technology applications.

Recently, Intertech expanded its ISO Class 8 cleanroom moulding and assembly capacity by an additional 3,400ft2.

The expansion added dedicated space for moulding presses and secondary operation equipment.

The latest space enhances Intertech’s current ISO Class 8 cleanroom capability of almost 9,000ft2.

Additionally, TriMas has made investments in additional cleanroom capabilities at a second location in the Denver region under Intertech’s current ISO 13485 Medical Devices Quality Management Systems certification.

The Colorado manufacturing facility is also MedAccred accredited in addition to the certified ISO Class 8 cleanroom environments.

TriMas president and CEO Thomas Amato said: “Our increased investments in the Life Sciences end market continue to be an important long-term strategic enhancement for TriMas.

“By expanding our cleanroom production capabilities, we are addressing the growing demand needs of our customers, while remaining at the forefront of stringent regulatory standards.

“This investment not only underscores our dedication to operational excellence and superior quality, but also reaffirms our commitment to serving the evolving needs of the Life Sciences sector.”
