Mark Andy, a manufacturer of narrow web presses, has enhanced its Digital Series platform with the introduction of new Digital Series HD press.
The latest true hybrid press is said to aggregate flexibility of inline converting, high-resolution digital print and advanced production capability.
Digital Series HD has been developed to be configured with five through eight colors, and is also provided with option to convert into integrated inline or future-proof near line.
According to the company, the added flexibility allows Mark Andy’s portfolio of digital hybrid solutions to reach a larger percentage of the addressable market based on terms of budget and application or workflow needs.
The base roll-to-roll configuration is suitable for the customers entering the production digital space, while the modularity of the platform allows in shifting to inline finishing to better use high speed platform.
The expanded gamut provided in high-chroma inkset (CMYK + OVG) is said to complement an existing pigmented white ink formulation that delivers output similar to rotary screen.
Digital Series HD press, which features new print head technology, is available with three head cleaning options such as manual, automatic and semi-automatic.
The press also takes the support of Mark Andy’s web-transport system that helps to maintain production class speeds of 240 fpm.
In addition, all accessories available on the earlier Digital Series or Performance Series platform can also be used on Digital Series HD.
