HP has expanded its labels and packaging range with the launch of new solutions that can be used in a wide range of applications.

The new offerings include – HP Indigo 6900 digital press for labels and packaging and HP PageWide C500 Press for mainstream corrugated production.

HP Indigo 6900 digital press features Pack Ready for Labels suite to produce high-resistance labels for food, household, chemical and pharma labels.

The press also features new HP Indigo ElectroInk Silver that delivers metallic effects across a wide color gamut and HP Indigo ElectroInk Invisible Blue and Yellow for brand protection and promotional labels.

The system is incorporated with HP Indigo GEM embellishment unit to be used in spot, tactile, foil, holograms, mini textures and lamination applications.

Developed for the corrugated packaging market, HP PageWide C500 presses features single-pass thermal inkjet technology. It is a cost-effective digital alternative to offset lamination and flexo production.

The press, which uses HP CV150 water-based inks, delivers offset quality direct-to-board with mainstream productivity on both coated and uncoated papers.

The firm said that five customers from Europe and the US have already installed PageWide C500 Press for direct-to-board post-print corrugated production.

Additionally, HP has announced the availability of new Indigo Pack Ready laminator, which can be integrated with Indigo 20000 flexible packaging press. Pack Ready eliminator will help produce digitally printed flexible packaging solutions without the use of adhesives.

With new capabilities and improved performance, the HP Indigo 30000 digital press will enable to increase production of folding cartons per day. It will allow the firms to manufacture one million B2 sheets per month.
