Adhesive manufacturing company H.B. Fuller has entered into a strategic partnership in North America with tape application equipment maker Enimac.

The alliance is intended to boost the e-commerce packaging industry by bringing together experts from both organisations to combine their market and application experience with an understanding of pressure-sensitive adhesive tapes.

H.B. Fuller serves the e-commerce packaging sector and is an Amazon Packaging Support and Supplier (APASS) approved supplier.

It offers Open Sesame opening tear tapes and Close-Sesame closing tapes that are effectively applied with Enimac machinery.

H.B. Fuller global e-commerce packaging business development manager Tania Montesi said: “As the e-commerce packaging market begins its next wave of exponential growth, the agreement with Enimac strengthens our presence in the market by leveraging our performing tape and their application technology expertise to provide quality solutions and technical support to a wide range of packaging makers.”

Located in Italy, Enimac was founded in 2013 by Biemme Adesivi, who has 50 years of expertise in tape application and conversion.

The firm collaborates with tape converters around the world to provide substrate bonding solutions, including tape and automation, intending to lower costs and boost production.

Enimac creates, produces, and sells standalone and tabletop tape application devices for paper and cardboard, as well as integrated tape applicators for use in machinery and production lines and fully customised tape application stations, modules, and systems.

Enimac vice president Martin Buerger said: “We look forward to partnering with H.B. Fuller. By combining our application equipment with their portfolio of opening and closing tapes, we become a one-stop shop for packaging makers, which will improve our customers’ experience.”

Recently, H.B. Fuller introduced Open Sesame fibre-based rip tape in addition to its Close-Sesame closure tapes in an effort to promote eco-friendly e-commerce packaging.
