Elopak is supplying filling machines and downstream equipment to help Rørosmeieriet Dairy in expanding and rebuilding its Røros site with new lines.

Claimed to be the only organic independent dairy in Norway, Rørosmeieriet Dairy was established by a cooperative of milk producers in 2001.
The new installations, which are expected to be operational in 2019, will help increase organic dairy production to serve more customers in Norway and Europe.
In 2015, Røros introduced its first fresh-milk range in one-litre Pure-Pak Classic cartons with Optima closure.
In January 2016, Røros became the first diary in the country to launch Pure-Pak cartons made from renewable materials.
The one-litre Pure-Pak Classic cartons have been launched with both renewable board and closures developed from certified renewable polyethylene (PE), said Elopak.
For lactose-intolerant consumers, Røros launched new lactose fresh organic milk this year.
Elopak key account manager Andreas Weselka said: “Røros has taken organic production to new levels but maintains its individuality and independence by emphasizing values such as local and pure ingredients and traditional production methods.
“The dairy is constantly looking for ways to improve its products and packaging, and with this new agreement in place, we look forward to supporting future growth and development.”
In a separate announcement, Elopak said that it has provided its Pure-Pak cartons for Prairie Farms’ flavored milk products, including Chocolate Marshmallow, Strawberry Crème, Orange Crème and Egg Nog.
Featuring on-pack recipes, the Quart (946ml) Pure-Pak Classic cartons have been used for the flavored milk products.
Prairie Farms marketing and communications vice president Rebecca Leinenbach said: “The quality litho printing capabilities provide us with design flexibility, which is essential to differentiating our brand in a crowded marketplace.”
Elopak provides paper based packaging solutions for liquid food. The company produces Roll Fed packaging material, paper board, closures and filling machines, secondary packaging solutions. in addition to Pure-Pak cartons.
