Packaging equipment provider Sidel Group has showcased its complete line solutions at Andina Pack event held in Bogotá, Colombia between November 7 and 10.

AT the event, the company demonstrated its innovations in services, equipment, engineering and end-of-line solutions including Super Combi and from Gebo Cermex – AQFlex.

Sidel Super Combi is a data-driven intelligence and advanced automation system, which is claimed to have the capability of thinking and acting on behalf of the producer.

The system has five processes steps integrated into including preform feeder, blower, labeller, filler/capper and cap feeder.

It has been engineering to be a single smart solution with interfaces, ergonomic design, compact footprint and clear guidance for ongoing high levels of performance and uptime.

The system has achieved autonomous regulation through Sidel Intelli-adjust, which can control the system’s performance and can automatically apply adjustments wherever they are needed.

Huge focus has been put on hygiene, packaging quality and beverage integrity, while designing the Sidel Super Combi. It can ensure food safety to the fullest. Integrating new technologies has also added the advantage of minimum changeovers, which can be guided for improved speed and efficiency to keep the line running smoothly with minimal downtime.

Sidel Group’s Gebo Cermex business unit also showcased its product handling solution AQFlex. This is claimed to be an intelligent solution which can offer unprecedented flexibility and performance in packaging.

The system has the advantages of existing conveying systems and can accommodate any product, whatever the application, whatever the market, in all container materials, format and shapes, full or empty. It also has the ability to process fragile, unstable or premium containers.

AQFlex also has the capability of providing smooth, contactless product conveying and accumulation in compact spaces. It also claims to operate smoothly between speeds ranging from 1000 to 100,000 containers per hour, while delivering up to 60% in savings without compromising on efficiency or sustainability.
