American plastic packaging products maker Berry Global is bringing its international line of high-performance polyethylene (PE) lamination films under its Entour film brand in a move to combine the firm’s broader portfolio.
The plans include renaming Berry’s European FormiForLAM product to Entour films.
According to the plastic products maker, the strategy will simplify the product range. It will also ensure that clients receive a common experience when selecting Berry’s wide range of lamination films.
Part of Berry’s B Circular product line, Entour film products provide clients with a one-stop shop for a range of food and converter films that meet specific application needs and promote the transition to a circular economy.
The film range is suitable for bags, pouches, stand-up pouches, and flow wraps for use in the food, wipes, and pet food industries.
When paired with other PE constructions, the range is said to offer a variety of significant advantages, including high levels of product protection, consumer convenience, and point-of-sale effect, as well as the capacity to be recycled.
This provides an alternative to the conventional PET/PE and OPET/PE laminated films made of multiple materials, the packaging company said.
The strength and stiffness of the Entour films may be adjusted to suit each application while maintaining stability on store shelves due to their flexibility.
Additionally, gloss and clarity can be tailored to exact brand specifications, Berry Global added.
The films can be designed with a linear MD (machine direction) tear for easy pouch opening and are compatible with zippers to maximise user convenience.
