Hybrid packaging supplier Berlin Packaging has completed the acquisition of plastic, glass, and metal containers and closures distributor Andler Packaging Group.
Israel Andler founded the company in 1893 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, as a recycler of glass bottles for the local population.
Andler Packaging is said to be one of the major packaging providers in the US, with several locations across Massachusetts, New Jersey, Maryland, and Florida with 130 years of experience.
The firm has expertise in pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries packaging.
It also offers value-added services such as exclusive custom tools, printing and labelling capabilities, as well as repacking and sterilisation.
Berlin Packaging Americas chief executive officer Rick Brandt said: “We are excited to welcome Andler Packaging to Berlin Packaging.

Berlin Packaging said that all employees and locations for the acquisition will be retained.
Andler Packaging is Berlin Packaging’s second acquisition in North America in 2022 and the fourth acquisition completed globally this year.
Earlier this month, the company acquired glass packaging supplier for the French wine and olive oil end markets Verrerie du Comtat.
