US-based packaging solutions provider Aptar Food + Beverage has introduced a new Tower flip-top closure for the chilli sauce market.

Tower uses a flip-top design unlike traditional twist-to-open closures used currently in the market.

The new design allows consumers to open the cap without having to touch or view any leftover product residue with increased convenience, differentiation and hygiene for the consumers.

The typical dashing motion is further encouraged by its directional tip, which also reduces the possibility of product accumulation on the closure.

Tower may be paired with Aptar’s SimpliSqueeze technology, which provides advanced flow control, for an improved customer dispensing experience and guaranteed cleanliness.

The closure, which comes in two neck finishes: 28-410 or 28mm 1810, is currently available across North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia.

The new dispensing solution is designed to boost the package cleanliness, and hygiene and improve the consumer experience when continuing to use the product.

With Tower, Aptar aims to increase package cleanliness throughout the product’s life via clean and controlled dispensing.

The company’s new dispensing solution is intended for honey, ketchup, syrups, hot sauce and Sriracha sauce.

In January this year, the company launched a new recyclable snap top closure called PolkaLite for the sauces and condiments market.

The new closure, made using polypropylene, is said to be suitable for bottles with a 38-400 neck finish and a 55mm outer diameter.
