India-based Vaibhav Plasto has invested in two new Bobst gravure presses, as part of its efforts to provide quality flexible packaging to its food and beverage customers.

In 2015, the company first installed Bobst RS 5002 gravure press to enhance its production capabilities.

Recently, the company has placed an order for two new Bobst NOVA RS 5003 gravure presses, which are expected to be delivered and installed this year and early 2023, respectively.

Bobst RS 5003 gravure press is designed to deliver better performance on various flexible materials, including new eco-friendly packaging substrates.

The gravure press features Bobst’s advanced solutions for sustainable operation with minimum waste for water-based or solvent-based ink printing applications.

Vaibhav Plasto packaging division director Vaibhav Agrawal said: “We wanted to expand our market reach with the best machines available. After extensive research, we found that the major players in the market were using Bobst machines and that many of them had made repeat purchases.

“Our own previous experience with the service and support from the BOBST team was also very good, so we felt that Bobst would be the right fit for our plans to expand further and that their support will be essential. In addition, the RS 5003 demonstrated much higher capabilities than similar gravure presses.”

In 2007, Vaibhav Plasto has diversified its operations by creating a new division called Vaibhav Plasto Printing & Packaging that is based in Nagpur of Maharashtra.

The group conducts operations in two verticals, including RC Plasto Tanks and Pipes that is headed by Neelesh and Vishal Agrawal.

The flexible printing, packaging and shrink sleeve labels business is headed by Vaibhav Agrawal, the director of Vaibhav Plasto Printing & Packaging.

The company’s packaging division produces printed flexible packaging products, including laminated films, shrink sleeves and films, pouches and wraparound labels, which are supplied to over 27 states in India.

In November last year, India-based Concord Printing installed Bobst Expertfold 110 A2 folder-gluer with a corrugation kit at its new printing and packaging plant in the Indian state of Gujarat.
