US-based rigid packaging distributor TricorBraun has wrapped up the acquisition of Australian provider of plastic and glass packaging, PB Packaging.

TricorBraun signed the deal to acquire PB Packaging last month.

Founded in 1990, PB provides a one-stop-shop for rigid packaging requirements for clients in the healthcare, industrial, culinary, and automotive sectors. It was previously owned by Pro-Pac Packaging.

The deal will expand TricorBraun’s presence in Australia and marks another milestone in the firm’s global expansion.

With the acquisition, PB now operates as PB Packaging, a TricorBraun corporation.

TricorBraun chief executive officer and president Court Carruthers said: “We are pleased to expand our services to customers in Australia, while supporting PB Packaging’s growth.

“The PB team shares our strong commitment to innovation, quality, and exceptional customer service, and we are happy to officially welcome them to the TricorBraun family.”

TricorBraun entered the Australian packaging market with the acquisition of Cormack Packaging in September last year.

Since its inception, the rigid packaging firm has worked with management teams to purchase and further accelerate the growth of 36 packaging firms worldwide.

The US-based firm provides solutions across a wide array of customer end markets in plastic, glass, and aluminium containers, closures, dispensers, tubes, and flexibles.

The company has over 2,000 packaging professionals operating from more than 100 locations across the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
