Seattle Tacoma Box Company’s subsidiary SeaCa Packaging has broken ground a manufacturing facility in Surprise, a city in Maricopa County, located in the US state of Arizona.

SeaCa Packaging, which was established in 1991, specializes in polypropylene carton manufacturing.
The company is investing $17m for the plant in Greater Phoenix with planned completion by April 2019. Phase one is anticipated to create 65 jobs.
Arizona Governor Doug Ducey said: “Arizona continues to prove it offers the talent, operating environment and strategic location manufacturers are seeking. Arizona welcomes SeaCa Packaging to Surprise and we are grateful for their investment in our state.”
The new location in Surprise will extend SeaCa Packaging’s manufacturing operation outside of California.
SeaCa Packaging was initially created in 1991 to serve central California’s produce industry with high-graphic corrugated boxes.
To replace wax corrugated boxes, the company incorporated a product line of extruded polypropylene 100% recyclable cartons for food-contact packaging and distribution.

SeaCa Packaging is engaged in the manufacturing and distribution of agricultural packaging and supplies via a network of distribution points in the San Joaquin Valley of California.
Through its equipment and service program, the company supports its larger customers with onsite assembly of packaging in their packing sheds.
It specializes in superior quality printed corrugated packaging as well as plastic pouches, plastic corrugated products, wood boxes and other wood products.
The company’s plastic corrugated packaging is suited for shipping domestic and export produce and used for asparagus and grapes.
SeaCa Plastic Packaging is claimed to extrude 100% waterproof recyclable packaging for agriculture products like corn, asparagus, celery, and leafy greens.
Seattle Tacoma Box is a more than 125-year-old family owned and operated company specializing in packaging since 1889. It designs, develops, and manufactures several products for the agricultural, industrial, and seafood markets.
