ParmCrisps said it has refreshed the brand and its packaging to help advance it into a snack-forward positioning.

The brand’s Original, Jalapeno and Black Sesame flavors are available in the new pouch format.

ParmCrisps will continue to retail their tub format to fulfill the gap between traditional cheese and cracker, while the new ParmCrisps pouch meets the requirement of hand-to-mouth snacking.

ParmCrisps also noted that it has re-positioned the pouch format for snacking on-the-go as the brand tends in with consumers looking for functional, nutritionally on-trend and flavorful products.

ParmCrisps marketing vice president Kevin Joseph said: “As we discovered what our millennial consumers want, we realized we needed packaging that reflects the bold and sophisticated, yet flavor-forward and snackable aspects that ParmCrisps are all about.

“We carefully crafted each element of the design, from our brand assets, color tones and photography to the surface finish, seal, and gusset. The new package is a clear and relevant design that appeals to the millennial snacker and showcases our product benefits, boosting our brand as the new, millennial snack.”

According to ParmCrisps, the third-party research revealed that 85% of millennial consumers use a pouch format for their snacks and around 77% of ParmCrisps consumers use the cheese crisps as a snack over casual get-togethers, holidays, or with a meal.

ParmCrisps’ products with new packaging will be available to the customers from this month, and coincide with their national launch in Whole Foods.

ParmCrisps are artisan-crafted crisps produced by using Parmesan cheese. With over 7g protein per serving and 0g carbs, the aged Parmesan is oven-baked in small batches to produce crunchy crisp.

ParmCrisps are suitable snack for consumers looking for paleo, keto, gluten-free and vegetarian diets.
