The deal complements the Optimum Group's European growth plans and is expected to expand its footprint in Germany

The Netherlands-based Optimum Group has snapped up Germany-based self-adhesive label maker HP-ETIKETT for an undisclosed sum.
As per the terms of the acquisition, the existing management team of HP-ETIKETT will remain within the company.
The deal supports Optimum Group’s European growth plans and is expected to expand its footprint in Germany.
Under the Optimum Group, HP-ETIKETT will now have the potential to better serve its customers by offering more capacity, a large range of self-adhesive labels and flexible packaging solutions, and extra delivery reliability as part of an international printing group.
HP-ETIKETT managing director Eugen Kölling said: “HP-ETIKETT has developed well in recent years, during which we have achieved significant growth based on a strong and dedicated team of employees and investments in sustainably produced labelling solutions.”
The deal will strengthen Optimum’s position as a provider of labels and flexible packaging solutions in northwest Europe, mainly speciality labels, printed and unprinted self-adhesive labels, ribbons, shrink sleeves, bands, multilayer labels, and flexible packaging.
The addition of HP-ETIKETT has increased the number of companies under the group in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, and Denmark to 19.

In June last year, Optimum Group acquired Denmark-based LABELCO, specialising in self-adhesive labels. LABELCO is a printing company with a British BRSCGS food safety certification.
