IDC and Boxxle are the members of the Aseptic Foodservice (AAF) alliance. Other members of the alliance include Alfa Laval, Aran Group, and Goglio.

IDC’s aseptic dispensing tap, The Answer, will dispense dairy and juice beverages from sleek Boxxle dispensing units.

The new Boxxle dispenser will be exhibited at this year’s Pack Expo event in Chicago, US, which will take place from 14 to 17 October.

The AAF alliance has been formed to provide the food and beverage industry with a turnkey and large-format aseptic packaging solution for foodservice.

The new stainless Boxxle unit has been designed for IDC, while the AAF is equipped with a touch screen to help end-user display anything ranging from brand name to product type, as well as control and monitor usage data.

Simple to program and re-program, the units will offer a consistent flow from beginning to end and ensures maximum product evacuation.

Boxxle dispenser’s design will help handle the full spectrum of aseptic bag size ranging from 3 liters to 20 liters for foodservice.

IDC’s The Answer aseptic dispensing tap holds capacity to dispense UHT liquids from a large-format flexible package, while keeping the remaining contents shelf-stable for an extended period without the support of refrigeration or preservatives.

According to the company, the combination of aseptic dispensing tap and Boxxle can be used for a large variety of applications in foodservice sector.

The Answer aseptic tap can be used for both low and high-acid beverages such as dairy, dairy-based coffee, juice, tea and coconut water in large-format. It is currently used in the US, China, Germany, Pakistan, and Mexico.

IDC chairman Greg Abbott said: “We are delighted to have Boxxle as the official dispenser for IDC and the AAF, and honored to be at Pack Expo with Georgia Pacific Bleached Board.

“We intend to open people’s eyes and capture their imaginations as to the real possibilities in aseptic foodservice. People admire the simplicity of the Boxxle units and the elegance of our total solution, and recognize the significant opportunity our system represents to conquer the largely untapped market of aseptic foodservice.”
