The event will take place from 25 to 27 September.

The new Technomelt Supra Pro Range is said to meet the regulatory standards for end-of-line packaging while achieving new levels in food safety.

Henkel market development manager Luisa Schott said: “Food safety is a top priority for us. Our products enable us to continuously set new benchmarks in the industry and offer our customers as well as end consumers the highest possible level of safety.”

Technomelt Supra Pro Range Henkel includes adhesives that serve as high-performance hotmelts.

The new range provides better food safety advantages, specifically for sensitive foods such as rice, pasta, cornflakes or cereals.

These foods have a long shelf life, and are expected to have higher risk of contamination with mineral oil particles migrating to food from the inner and outer packaging. The rise of temperatures will also increase the risk of contamination.

Henkel has extended its food contact statements for the Technomelt Supra Pro products with additional qualitative and quantitative tests for mineral oil aromatic hydrocarbons (MOAH), offering guarantee to retailers and brand owners that the products comply with all mandatory legal needs.

The company selectively chooses the raw materials and conducts a detailed risk assessment to provide end consumers with enhanced level of food safety.

Technomelt Supra Pro Range is comprised of solutions for all areas of end-of-line packaging, including sealing boxes and cartons. They can also be used for attaching straws and erecting trays.

Supra Pro Range also includes low-temperature adhesives, which can be used with a low application temperature of 100 °C, instead of the usual 165 °C to 170 °C for hotmelts.

In addition, the range’s multipurpose adhesive provides high line speeds without any stringing of the adhesive. It will also allow to seal packaging with challenging surfaces such as polyethylene for flour or sugar.

Schott further added: “While developing the Technomelt Supra Pro Range, we made a point of optimizing the properties of the various product range adhesives for each of their respective areas of use.”
