Flint Group, a provider of print consumables, has established a new offset packaging solutions unit to better serve its customers.

The new division, Flint Offset Packaging Solutions (FOPS), offers sheetfed inks, press room chemicals and printing blankets to the customers.

The company’s sheetfed and image transfer technologies teams have served the common customer base for many years.

Flint has now placed these product groups under one leadership structure to serve as a ‘one-stop’ shop for all sheetfed offset commercial and packaging printers.

The new business unit brings together the brands such as K+E, Day and Varn to further strengthen the company’s position in the offset printing market.

FOPS president Tony Lord said: “The alignment of Sheetfed Inks and Image Transfer Technologies is a positive step for Flint Group, enabling FOPS to become a full portfolio provider for the offset printing industry.

“We will continue to service our customer base across both the sheetfed commercial and packaging printing market segments, and look to expand our focus, support and expertise within sheetfed packaging.

“Our strategy remains unchanged; to be a leading provider of pressroom products and services, delivering exceptional value, quality and innovation, and the creation of FOPS strengthens our position to achieve our goals.”

In November last year, Flint Group Packaging Inks opened a new Regional Service Centre (RSC) in Barcelona to serve as the regional base for the company’s Iberian operations.
