The upgraded packaging features the new Delphi Technologies logo in a wallpaper print, along with a retail box based on the existing design.

The improved packaging is part of a rebranding initiative under which the company is shifting from its red oval logo to a single, common identity for both OE and aftermarket businesses.

Delphi said an improved layout and higher quality materials offer more vigorous packaging to better protect its contents and the environment.

The new packaging also features an enhanced label that passes on the information required to quickly identify the part. It includes line drawings and the location of the part for some products.

All labels on both the current and new packaging will include the red oval, and the Delphi Technologies logo.

The company said the packaging launch plays a key role in a fully integrated brand conversion program, which includes a new brand campaign, digital activity, marketing collateral, signage and packaging inserts that will reach several installers in selected countries.

Between 80% to 90% of outbound deliveries will have new branded packaging across various products by the middle of next year.

Customers will continue to receive Delphi products in both old- and new-look styles during the interim.

Delphi Technologies Aftermarket vice president of global marketing, product and strategy Neil Fryer said:  “The new packaging is clean, fresh and modern, and it reflects both our new brand identity and product quality.

“There’s also a strong nod to our current packaging, with retail boxes for our key product programs featuring a product image and other familiar design elements for greater recognition. This is key as we transition the equity from the old brand to the new.”

The company said it will introduce the newly designed aftermarket packaging at AAPEX 2018 expo, which will take place 30 October to 01 November 2018 in Las Vegas, US.
