The pharma MES Starter Edition with browser-based user interface deals with three main functions, including providing essential data for plant operators receive on their overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

It will also help in condition monitoring of plant status or processes, as well as provides information about important events such as alarms or downtimes in real time.

During the event, the company will demonstrates the functions of new Pharma MES Starter Edition on three machines, including new GKF 720 capsule filling machine, SVP250 LF processing system and ALF 5000 filling and closing machine.

With a clear dashboard view on the respective machines, the system shows information on essential machine and production data such as number of filled containers or OEE.

The data is provided on the customer’s network through a web service. It can also be viewed on mobile devices or desktop PCs.

The data collected by the software can be subsequently analyzed for process optimizations or improve plant performance.

Bosch’s new pharma edition also helps operators to access historical data, enabling to compare past and present data sets.

The company will also exhibit its data mining tool, which allows to study large amounts of data by using statistical methods.

Bosch Packaging Technology’s pharma Industry 4.0 project manager Christian Hanisch said: “Bosch’s Industry 4.0 solutions are tailored to the special requirements of the pharmaceutical industry and deliver full transparency for all process and machine data.
