Adhesive technologies provider Avery Dennison said it will exhibit a portfolio of new products at the upcoming Labelexpo show in Brussels, Belgium.
The company said the move will help converters spur growth and unlock new industry opportunities.
At the event, the company will be showcase heat-activated adhesive, hot metal label, extended water-based inkjet portfolio (Silver PET) and UV Inkjet premium paper range.
The heat-activated adhesive offers manufacturers across automotive interiors, safety components and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to apply safety and warning labels onto woven and non-woven textiles without sewing.
Avery Dennison stated that several OEMs need a permanent marking/labelling solution for their products covering multiple substrates, multiple conditions and also to meet automotive requirements.
Presently, there are a limited number of suitable technologies with narrow application windows such as ink transfer by heat, heat-seal label and direct (silk screen) printing. The heat-activated acrylic adhesive offers cost efficient and high performance solutions.
Avery’s Hot Metal Label is part of heavy industrial labelling portfolio and it allows label converters to offer metal and steel part producers, an effective option and an easy-to-apply label ensuring traceability throughout the manufacturing process.
The Hot Metal Label offers high abrasion and solvent resistance for thermal transfer print and it can withstand more than 375°C. Other options in the portfolio include hanging tags, self-adhesive labels that allow for addition of tracking information to raw materials such as metal, timber and stone.
On the other hand, Avery Dennison will also showcase its water-based inkjet and UV inkjet technologies which have also been growing in popularity. The company is offering inkjet solutions to cater to the growing demand of the solutions that differentiate with label designs and print in small production batches.
The new solutions will include an exclusive silver water-based inkjet film and a premium range of textures UV inkjet materials and these help in differentiating products on the shelf. The UV inkjet materials will feature a new topcoat that claims to retain both the look and the feel of the textured based paper.
