The new the trigger sprayer, which meets ISTA 6-Amazon test criteria, has been designed to prevent leakage of liquids when they are shipped in the small parcel environment.

Additionally, the trigger sprayer comprises no secondary inner seals the consumer needs to remove and allows for refills/re-use.

The Ultimate-E is also designed to reduce merchandise damage during shipping thus providing a savings to the e-commerce market channel.

TriMas president and CEO Thomas Amato said: “Each of TriMas’ businesses focuses on product and process innovation to improve and grow.”

“Rieke’s Ultimate-E trigger sprayer design is an excellent example of working collaboratively with customers to understand needs, even in the most dynamic environment, and offering practical product solutions.”

Available in two variants, with one for health, beauty and home care products and other for industrial applications, the Rieke’s Ultimate-E also eliminates the need for secondary packaging to prepare products for shipping.

Additionally, the Ultimate-E removes the need for adding tape on closure and nozzle locking mechanisms, bubble wrap, and sealing products in zipper bags to contain leaks or shipping trigger sprayers separately.

The spray has been developed by Rieke in collaboration with bottle manufacturers Alpha Packaging for polyethylene terephthalate containers, and C.L. Smith, reported Packaging Digest.
