KCS Plastics provides complete polyethylene packaging solutions for customers across Canada and the US

Spectrum Plastics Group has expanded its blown films capacity and added new capabilities with the acquisition of Canada-based KCS Plastics.

Based in Langley, British Columbia, KCS Plastics provides complete polyethylene packaging solutions for customers across Canada and the US.

Established in 1998, the company offers recyclable and high-density polyethylene that is expected to reduce the amount of packaging material by 50%.

KCS Plastics stated that its products are food contact safe as determined by Agriculture Canada and the US FDA.

Spectrum Plastics Group CEO Thomas Sullivan said: “The addition of KCS Plastics by our PPC Industries Film Division increases our geographic reach with a company that is strongly aligned to our position as a custom, scalable flexible packaging supplier for the Food, Industrial, and Medical packaging sectors.”

KCS’s polyethylene product portfolio consists of garbage bags, box liners, recycling bags, tank covers, poly sheets, freezer films, barrier films, treated films and lumber tag.

It also offers polyethylene product finishing solutions such as star seal, side gusset, end seal, flat bottom, loose pack, double wound sheeting and layflat tubing.

Based in Alpharetta, Georgia, Spectrum Plastics Group offers critical polymer-based components and devices for medical and other markets.

The company’s products range from easy open cereal film and high-density liners sheets for the meat, poultry and fish industry to laminating, form fill and seal and label stock films.
