Ireland-based packaging solutions company Zeus Group has snapped up Northern Irish print and packaging firm James Hamilton Group for an undisclosed sum.
James Hamilton Group provides label production, packaging, office supplies, and personal protective equipment solutions for multiple sectors, including retail, food & beverage production, logistics and distribution.
The print and packaging firm has an annual sale of €18m and a dedicated team of over 120 employees.
The transaction aligns with Zeus Group’s 2023 growth strategy that anticipates growing the group revenues to exceed €500m.

The James Hamilton Group deal broadens the packaging solution’s product offering and service capabilities. It also adds local manufacturing expertise in printed packaging.
In addition, James Hamilton Group improves Zeus Group’s capacity to meet the requirements of customers in the food, beverage, and retail industries via its expertise in retail food packaging, food sleeves and cartons, and cutting-edge label printing.

Upon completion of the transaction, James Hamilton will continue to work under its brand, using its prevailing manufacturing expertise and management team.
In February this year, Zeus acquired Polpack, a Poland-based packaging materials distribution and packaging machinery solutions provider.
