Digital foiling and laminating systems manufacturer Vivid Laminating Technologies has partnered with Color-Logic, which develops colour communication systems and software tool sets for a variety of special effect printing applications.

Color-Logic’s suite of colour communication systems and software tools work in conjunction with Adobe’s Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign applications.

This will enable designers to wor with a pallet of 250 metallic foil colours, which can be realized using digital printer and Vivid’s Matrix Digital Foiling & Laminating System and its Aqua Aura silver or rainbow holographic foils.

Color-Logic’s plug-ins and palettes for the Adobe suite are claimed to be easy to work with, and save significant amount of time.

The plug-in for Photoshop can intelligently analyse the levels of colour within a photo to create an image ready to be foiled.

The finished effect can jump out of the page and dramatically enhance print.

The partnership of Vivid and Color-Logic benefits users with two levels of software integration. The standard package can include a full design suite and FX viewer for 1 user and the premium package can allow up to 5 simultaneous users of the design suite & FX viewer, combined with 5 Pattern-FX which can add dimensions to the print.
