Hook and loop fasteners manufacturer Velcro Companies has introduced new hook-to-hook flexible package closure system with advanced sealant technology.

The new Velcro Brand Press-Lok Advanced system has been developed for manufacturers to quickly and easily incorporate the closures with their flexible packages and pouches.
According to the company, traditional closures used on larger flexible packages do not allow for precise line-up and results in re-closure challenges.
Featuring the firm’s exclusive hook-to-hook fastening solution, the new closure system enables consumers to easily align the seal to precisely and reliably close larger pouches with wide openings, helping to remain contents fresh.
The new hook-to-hook flexible package closure system can be heat-sealed to flexible packaging at lower temperatures, helping the package converter to improve the package appearance by minimizing the film impression marks.
The heat-sealing process will allow providing better top panel appearance and enhancing the look of graphics on flexible packaging and pouches.
Velcro Brand Press-Lok system can be recycled, enabling the product to be in line with multiple global initiatives around sustainable packaging.
The new closure system can be installed on a wider range of machinery, extending the use of closure in multiple applications.
Velcro Brand Press-Lok system can be used for a wide variety of product categories, including frozen foods and products in large bags such as pet food, fertilizer or soil.
Peel Plastic Products, which is based in Brampton of Ontario, is the first packaging converter to incorporate the new Velcro Brand Press-Lok Advanced closure into commercial applications such as pet foods, lawn and garden, and human food packaging.
