Vietnamese milk brand TH true MILK has launched a new snack drink, TH true MILK LIGHT MEAL, using drinksplus technology from aseptic carton packaging solutions provider SIG.

TH true LIGHT MEAL is based on the combination of pure milk and plant-based ingredients including granular oats, walnuts and macadamia nuts.

Available in supermarkets throughout Vietnam, it is made using drinksplus technology from SIG to maintain the quality of milk and upgrade the drinking experience.

The product aligns with the customer’s change in shopping behaviour to opt for more value-added products.

SIG’s drinksplus technology has enabled the development of new items and categories that can be made rapidly and cost-effectively using SIG’s conventional beverage filling equipment.

True MILK can continue to expand its portfolio to meet the requirement of flexitarian consumers.

SIG Vietnam marketing & business development manager Kha Vo said: “TH true MILK has placed its trust in our drinksplus technology and working together with our team has been able to launch a brand-new snack drink in Vietnam.

“We have been conducting filling tests at SIG’s Tech Center in Suzhou to ensure a successful product launch and are excited to see this first drinksplus product from our customer already selling well in Vietnam.”

SIG’s drinksplus technology aims to fill the products with up to 10% particle content in aseptic carton packs on standard SIG filling machines for liquid dairy products and non-carbonated soft drinks.

To make drinking easy and entertaining, the parts can be up to six millimetres in length and breadth, and the accompanying drinking straws can be up to eight millimetres in diameter.
