Rockware Glass has produced what it believes is the first ever half-pint bottle for a premium lager sold in the UK.
The company says its research indicates consumers continue to relate to traditional pub measures when referring to beer and lagers.
It also said the Stella Artois bottle’s heavy embossing, which replaces the traditional label, could have caused inspection problems, but these were overcome with inspection equipment and stringent testing procedures.
