The new LX910, which is claimed to be Primera’s fastest-ever desktop color label printer, is capable of handling labels as wide as 8″ and as small as 0.75″.

Designed to print a 4″x3″ label with 50% coverage in less than 6 seconds, the new printer uses new, ultra-high capacity ink cartridge, resulting in lowest ink costs.

Primera said that the printer can be used for applications including product labels for coffee, wine, water, bakery, confectionery, meat, cheese and hundreds of other specialty and gourmet foods.

Additionally, the machine is ideal for manufacturing, laboratory, security, government, retail, and a wide variety of other markets.

The label printer uses a simple swap-out of ink cartridges to print with dye-based ink for enhanced, eye-popping color, the firm said.

It also provides options to choose pigment ink for maximum durability against water and UV light.

The machine also uses an all-new, ultra-high capacity single CMY ink tank, allowing the user to replace and keep on-hand one ink tank instead of two or four.

Primera said in a statement: “Users get a brand new print head each time they change the cartridge, simplifying maintenance and dramatically lowering on-going operating costs.”

Featuring tough, steel case with industrial-grade power-coated paint, the printer virtually eliminates horizontal banding even on the faster print speeds.

Earlier this year, the firm has unveils the desktop RX500 Color RFID label & tag printer.

The RX500 features ultra high-resolution color inkjet technology to produce labels and tags at speeds of up to 2.5” per second and up to 4.25” wide.

Additionally, the machine comprises built-in, automatic RFID encoding, making it ideal for applications that need both color and RFID, including file folders, asset tracking, retail & apparel tags, data storage tapes, lab specimens, wristbands, identification and visitor badges, pharmaceuticals, among others.
