Circuitry and semiconductor maker MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions has launched a new packaging option for the ALPHA Argomax sinter paste.

The latest solution gives customers more manufacturing options and eases high-volume implementation and supports the customer needs for automatic sinter paste dispensing on a stencil.

In order to satisfy client demands, MacDermid Alpha is now able to provide a jar with a bottom hole (dispense port) via which paste can be dispensed.

According to the firm, the new jar with a dispensing port is in addition to the existing standard jars and 600g and 3,000g cartridges.

With quantities up to 250g, the new jar decreases downtime and allows customers to use 99% of the ALPHA Argomax sinter paste and reducing material waste.

The jar enables the reuse of partially used containers and is suitable with premixing, as advised by MacDermid Alpha.

The possibility to automate the dispensing procedure or employ a mechanical handheld dispenser, which enhances the repeatability of the paste replenishment, benefits customers as well, said the company.

ALPHA Argomax Paste and Film global product manager Jeffrey Arouh said: “After rigorous testing at our global manufacturing locations, we are proud to bring this new packaging option to our customers, so they can benefit from this new, proven innovation from MacDermid Alpha.

“Faster, with less waste; these are the key advantages of our new jars with hole.”

All ALPHA Argomax paste products are available in jars with dispensing ports.
