The Variable Needle System from Avery Dennison Fastener Europe has been developed to help minimise packaging around card backing.
The VNS can replace twist and cable ties, fastening even irregularly shaped products such as toys, cosmetics and tools, and removes the need for clamshell or blister packaging.
Marketing manager Mike Back says: “The system benefits the packager, retailer and consumer by offering a highly economical, safe and environmentally sound way of fastening products to card and paper, by using only a minimal amount of packaging materials. The consumer can detach the product by hand without the need for scissors.”
