Crown Closures Europe has extended its Ideal range of closures to include a number of new sizes.
The closures combine metal and plastic for barrier performance, abuse resistance and brand differentiation, and are manufactured for food, beverage and nutritional processes. The new sizes are 40, 51, 63, 70 and 82mm.
A Crown spokesman says: “These new sizes will broaden the application possibilities for our customers.”
Ideal closures are a hybrid of a plastisol-lined metal disk and a plastic band. The metal disk forms am airtight seal and the plastic band a perforated drop down section to provide tamper evidence, eliminating the need for a secondary inner seal.
The range is suitable for multiple filling processes, including hot fill, cold fill, dry seal, pasteurisation and retort.
