US-based Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery is set to feature a lineup of dry fill packaging solutions at Pack Expo International that runs in Chicago from 31 October through 3 November 2010.

The company will feature its Net Weigh System which uses load cells and the bulk and dribble method to fill ingredients by weight at impressive accuracy rates.

The company will also showcase the Sanitary Head Filler system that protects product integrity when filling sensitive products, such as pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals, by stopping contaminants from coming into contact with the material being filled, reported PressReleasePoint.

Split Hopper is another packaging machinery to be featured. The design of the machine provides instant access to auger tooling, promoting fast and simple product changeover and maintenance. At Pack Expo, the Split Hopper will be integrated with a one of Spee-Dee’s variable speed infeed auger fillers, which eliminates the production problems associated with variations in hopper head pressure.

Also included in the products list is the company’s Advanced Volumetric System which is efficient, affordable and easy to operate. The system fills product by both weight and volume, which reduces target weights, improves repeatability and decreases product giveaway.
