UK-based East India Company has relaunched as a luxury brand and selected Smurfit Kappa Composites of Europe to design and supply a range of luxury food packaging, the first order containing composite cans for its range of sweet and savoury biscuits as well as luxury chocolates.

Smurfit Kappa customer account manager Nic Bridge said that the printed luxury tubes consist of 17 biscuit varieties and nine types of chocolates and are capable of protecting and promoting any luxury food or gift product.

Two sizes of printed tubes were developed over 12 months and further designs are in development, reported PackagingNews.

Going forward, East India Company has planned more stores in the US, Singapore, Japan and the Middle East.
